1 Stick Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
1 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
2 tsp Baking Powder
4 1/2 Cups 1-Minute Oatmeal
3/4ths of a (12 oz.) pkg. Chocolate Chips
Half of a (12 oz.) pkg. M & M's
Get a large bowl or mixer and cream Butter, both sugars and peanut butter together. Then cream in the eggs and vanilla. Add the Baking Powder, Oatmeal and stir. Then add the Chocolate Chips, stir, and M & M's and stir. Put in more choc. chips or M&Ms if you like. Take out large roundfuls (about 1/3 cup), and press into the shape of a large cookie (shape of a large hamburger). I fit 6 large cookies on a jellyroll pan. Then bake for 12 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
I've had it in my mind to make a really good monster cookie for the farmer's market, and after trying a couple I thought I had my mind made up, until we went to Josh's parent's over Easter and Josh's mom made these amazing Monster Bars. They were so ooey and gooey and soft, I thought these make great bars but I bet I could make these into ginormous soft cookies and they be even better! So while Josh was at Bible study, Emry and I attempted at making these into cookies! We waited patiently, peering into the little window which held our wonderful creations and once the timer beeped, Emry rushed to turn it off. Exclaiming 'All done!' Out they came, onto the cooling rack and within a few minutes we were able to sink our teeth into.......the most amazing cookie! Sucess! I got a 'these are amazing' response from enough people to know that these would be perfect for the market! I'm not really sure they are the most cost effective way to make money with all the chocolate chips and M&M's in them, haha, but I know people would want them and their stomach's need them ;o)
This picture was to capture the size of the cookie, but I think it only captured my son's intense desire to sink his teeth into that cookie and how patient he was to take a picture for me first! haha
